The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Baylor University seeks candidates in the areas of cyber-physical systems, computer security, wireless sensor networks, energy efficiency, smart grid or sustainable energy production for two positions: (1) a tenured/tenure-track position at the associate to full professor level, and (2) a tenured/tenure-track position at the associate professor level. Candidates must have an earned doctorate, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a commitment to excellence in teaching and research, be active in professional societies, and be a committed follower of Jesus Christ. Lecture of Mechanical Engineering (Two Positions)
The Mechanical Engineering Department in the School of Engineering and Computer Science seeks dynamic scholars to fill two (2) full time non-tenure track Lecturer faculty positions, one in thermofluids and the other primarily in introductory engineering courses. Other specialties, such as solid mechanics, materials, and biomaterials/ biomechanics will also be considered.
The positions will begin in August, 2010 at the rank of Lecturer (non-tenure track). Higher ranks will not be considered. Responsibilities include active undergraduate teaching, scholarly work in engineering education, course curriculum development, student advising, and professional service. Requirements include a minimum of an earned Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, outstanding English communication skills, a commitment to teaching excellence, and a commitment to professional activities. In light of Baylor's strong Christian mission, the successful applicant must have an active Christian faith.
