I would like to invite you to attend the Engineering & Computer Science Academy at Baylor University for an elite group of prospective students. The purpose of Baylor’s Engineering & Computer Science Academy is twofold: 1) to give students and parents an up-close look at our engineering/computer science programs and 2) to give students a glimpse into everyday life at Baylor.
Academies are special recruiting events for top-notch prospective students. To be eligible for one of our academies, you must meet the following requirements:
• Top 10% of your high school class
• Above a 1200 SAT score
• Above a 28 ACT score
• Want to be an engineer or computer scientist
• Eager to experience Baylor up-close to see if it is the school for you!
By attending the Academy, you will:
• Get to see and stay in the Engineering & Computer Science Living-Learning Center
• Get an in-depth look at what engineering and computer science at Baylor consists of
• Get to meet current Baylor ECS-LLC students
• Get to meet and hear lectures from Baylor’s top faculty
• See what makes Baylor the school for you!
There are only 24 spots available for each ECS Academy, and they will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. The visit for the student includes meals, t-shirt, and lodging (Parents must find their own housing-see attached hotel information). THIS EXPERIENCE COSTS ONLY $25 per student and $10 per parent (make checks payable to Baylor University)! The checks can be mailed after you are accepted to the Academy.
