Engineering & Computer Science Overnight Experience
An Alpha Leader is given the privilege and responsibility of representing ECS and Baylor University socially, physically, academically, and spiritually to visiting students and parents.
The "ECS Experience" is designed to give high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to stay overnight on Baylor's campus and experience life as an ECS student.
Who is eligible to attend?
High school juniors and seniors who are interesting in engineering or computer science at Baylor University.
Days of availability?
Sunday night through Thursday night during the academic year (not during finals week).
Cost?
$25.00 (includes breakfast, lunch, and a t-shirt! $7.00 extra if they are having dinner the night that they stay)
Who does the student stay with at Baylor?
An Alpha Leader is a student dedicated to serving prospective students and being a representative of Baylor University. Alpha Leaders are current engineering & computer science (ECS) students that live in our ECS living-learning center/residence hall. The Alpha Leader has the unique priveledge of representing ECS to prospective students in a personal atmosphere.
Sample Schedule of Alpha Visit:
Monday
5:00pm Arrive on campus
5-11:00pm Hang with Alpha Leader in the ECS-LLC/ Baylor campus
Tuesday
8:00am Breakfast
9:00am Attend Class
10:00am Meet with Adam P. Ecklund to discuss ECS
12:00pm Lunch with Alpha Leader
1:30pm Campus Tour
