Degree Programs

The School of Engineering and Computer Science maintains rigorous high standards, emphasizing quality teaching and a high level of interaction among faculty and students.

Undergraduate

ECS offers seven bachelor’s degrees across five areas of study as well as an opportunity to select from multiple dual degree tracks.

Graduate

Offering five master’s degrees and three doctoral degrees in addition to a joint M.B.A./M.E. program.

Joint

Baylor offers undergraduate students the option to select a dual degree track that allows up to six semester hours to be applied toward the degree requirements of both the bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

App that detects signs of eye diseases credited for preventing further vision loss for young boy
Bryan Shaw, Ph.D., assistant professor of chemistry, discovered, through the use of amateur digital photography, evidence of leukocoria or "white eye," the cardinal symptom of retinoblastoma, which can be seen in photographs during the earliest stages of the disease. Based on his research findings, Shaw partnered with Greg Hamerly, Ph.D., associate professor of computer science, to create CRADLE, an app that detects leukocoria or white eye.
