Dr. Michael Thompson is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He also serves as the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs for the School of Engineering and Computer Science. Dr. Thompson has been a faculty member at Baylor since 1999. Comprised of 35 undergraduate engineering students, Baylor BUV seeks to utilize classroom knowledge as well as technical training to construct a Basic Utility Vehicle (BUV). BUVs are simple, durable, lightweight and low-cost vehicles designed for rugged landscapes and heavy payloads to facilitate communal transportation and economic growth.
