VLSI Design
We’re interested in creating new innovative high performance simulators for simulating Very-Large Scale Integration (VLSI) logic and circuit analysis tools such as symmetric function detectors. Our research also focuses on generating random data for testing VLSI circuits and VLSI simulators. The random data generators can be used for software testing and for driving general simulations.

Dr. Maurer's research focuses on operating systems, FPGA, design automation, gate-level simulation of digital circuits - performance improvements, and symmetric boolean functions - detection and exploitation.
