Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering
The Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering is an Interdisciplinary Degree Program that is jointly administered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Biomedical Engineering is developing state-of-the-art technologies on bioinstrumentation, bio signal and image processing, numeric and high performance computing. The goal of ECE in biomedical engineering is to conduct research to enable (1) development of biosensors, wearable antenna, image processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, Internet-of-Things (IoT); (2) collaborate with medical personnel in hospitals and assisted living facilities; (3) development of numeric and high performance computing techniques for medical diagnostics. Baylor biomedical engineering is a multidisciplinary effort lead by faculty in Biomedical Engineering in biosensor devices and systems, numeric and high performance computing, and artificial intelligence and medical diagnostics.
