Faculty & Staff Awards
The ECS Faculty & Staff Awards program is an opportunity for the School of Engineering & Computer Science to celebrate distinction in teaching, research, service, and innovation.
The Dean’s Office has implemented a more robust awards program that includes the ECS Awards Dinner, where faculty, staff, and students will be recognized together on the School level.
New this year are two staff awards, Outstanding Staff and Excellence in Innovation. ECS faculty and staff are invited to nominate ECS staff for these awards here by Friday, March 29, 2024. Nominations will be reviewed by the ECS Awards Committee.
ECS Faculty Awards recognize the best all-around professors – including non-tenure track, tenured and tenure-track faculty – based on teaching capabilities, research achievement, effective committee service, time spent with students and civic and church involvement. The categories are the same as the University-level faculty awards. Nominees for these awards have already been determined through a process involving department faculty, chairs, the Office of the Dean, and Academic Council.
The ECS Awards Dinner is an event to honor ECS, faculty, staff, and student awards recipients. This year’s event is by invitation (due to limited capacity) on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Baylor Research Innovation Collaborative from 6 to 8 p.m.
