Biography
Jeong Bong (JB) Lee received Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1997. From 1997 to 1998, he was a Research Engineer with Georgia Tech. From 1999 to 2001, he was an Assistant Professor with Louisiana State University. He then moved to The University of Texas at Dallas in May 2001, where he served as Assistant, Associate, Full Professor and Associate Department Head for the Graduate Programs at the ECE. He joined Baylor University as Chair and professor of the ECE Department in August, 2023. Dr. Lee is the Director of the Micro/Nano Devices and Systems Laboratory. His current research interests include MEMS, sensors, liquid metals, and biomedical devices. Dr. Lee was a recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2001. He served as an Executive Program Committee Member for Transducers, a Track Co-Chair for the IEEE SENSORS 2015, TPC member of various conferences including SPIE Microtechnologies Conferences. He currently serves as an associate editor for the IEEE Sensors Journal and Micromachines Journal. He also served/serves as a TPC Co-Chair of the IEEE Sensors 2022 and 2023 Conferences, the chair of the MEMS/NEMS and Heterogeneously Integrated Devices Subcommittee for the IEEE EDTM (Electron Devices Technology and Manufacturing) 2024 Conference, the General Chair of the ISOEN (International Symposium on Olfaction and Electronic Nose) 2024 co-sponsored by the IEEE Sensors Council and the ISOCS (International Society of Olfaction and Chemical Sensing). He is also elected AdCom member of the IEEE Sensors Council for the 2024-2025 term.
