Scholarships
INCOMING STUDENTS
New students who plan to pursue a major in the School of Engineering & Computer Science beginning in Fall 2026 may apply for departmental funding through the link below. (Applications submitted through Scholarship Universe will not be reviewed.) This single application is the path toward being considered for all ECS scholarship opportunities for incoming students.
ECS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION (INCOMING STUDENTS)
Applications will be accepted through the end of April and considered on a rolling basis, with priority consideration given to students who apply by March 1, 2026. Students who apply by this priority deadline will receive a decision notification by early April. Scholarship awards will be applied evenly across the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
New students are also encouraged to work with One Stop Student Financial Services to pursue other types of aid.
CURRENT STUDENTS
The scholarship application for current Baylor ECS students has been moved to the Scholarship Universe platform and will become available beginning Feb. 16, 2026. The application will close on April 1, 2026, and students will receive a decision notification by mid-May 2026.
Note that all departmental scholarships for current students are awarded for one academic year. Students must re-apply each year to receive departmental funds.
TRANSFER STUDENTS
Incoming transfer students who meet the requirements below will receive an automatic merit scholarship from the School of Engineering and Computer Science in the amount of $15,000 per year.
- Earned at least 24 credit hours through another college/university after graduating from high school
- Applied to Baylor with a 3.75 transfer GPA
This award is in addition to merit and need-based scholarships received from the university and renews automatically for four years, as long as the student maintains full-time enrollment and a 3.0 Baylor GPA.
