Artificial Intelligence+
Baylor’s Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MSAI+) exposes students to the latest core AI technologies with one focus area, such as cybersecurity, biomedical/health care, financial engineering or quantum computing. Students will gain hands-on experience through a capstone project. Graduates will be prepared for cutting-edge research or high-level roles in industry.
MSAI+ Focus Areas
OverviewBaylor's Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence+ (MSAI+) is designed to provide students with rigorous training in the latest core artificial intelligence technologies while emphasizing four strategically important application areas: cybersecurity, biomedical and healthcare industries, financial engineering, and quantum computing. Students are able to add other focus areas besides the ones listed.
What fundamentally distinguishes the MSAI+ program from existing AI programs is that it goes beyond delivering state-of-the-art AI knowledge and techniques. It tightly integrates advanced AI education with high-demand, domain-specific applications, ensuring that graduates are both technically strong and immediately impactful in practice.
Baylor’s MSAI+ is a 30 credit-hour graduate program that includes a required capstone project. Prospective students are invited to review the focus areas to determine which electives they plan to pursue.
Baylor’s MSAI+ graduate program is a small, focused, and practical program where graduate students get the time, attention, resources, support, and opportunities they need to launch or enhance their successful careers.
Applicants should have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in a closely related field. For those applying with less than the standard preparation, the quality and adequacy of the admissions record will be evaluated by the Graduate Committee of the Department of Computer Science after reviewing the application for admission. Requirements which must be met before admission will be determined by that committee. These requirements will be in addition to requirements for the M.S. degree.
