School of Engineering and Computer Science Names Olufemi Olurin Business Officer
Olufemi Olurin joins ECS from Baylor’s Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences to oversee the School’s business operations and financial planning.
WACO, Texas (Nov. 3, 2026) – Olufemi A. Olurin, MBA, has been named business officer at Baylor University’s School of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS), effective Nov. 4, 2026. She brings more than five years of experience in higher education finance and operations, most recently as financial manager for Baylor’s Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences.
“We are delighted to welcome Ms. Olufemi Olurin as the School of Engineering and Computer Science Business Officer. Her strong background in financial management, budget planning and higher education administration, combined with her commitment to supporting academic excellence, will be a tremendous asset as we continue to advance the School’s mission and strategic priorities,” said Daniel Pack, Ph.D., Dean of Baylor’s School of Engineering and Computer Science.
As business officer, Olufemi will oversee the business operations of ECS, providing financial oversight of the School’s academic departments, research initiatives and all units that report to the Dean. She will ensure appropriate accounting, reporting and financial compliance across the School, provide financial management guidance and support to the Dean and coordinate with other Baylor units to plan and support external funding opportunities.
Originally from Nassau, Bahamas, Olufemi earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Kentucky in 2016 and began her career in healthcare in Lexington, Kentucky. She later earned a Master of Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University in 2021 before transitioning into higher education at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia. Over the span of four years at Agnes, she advanced through several leadership roles, beginning as an Enrollment and Operations Coordinator, then serving as Enrollment Operations and Business Manager for Graduate Studies and ultimately as Finance Manager for Academic Affairs, giving her a unique ability to see higher education finance through a comprehensive lens.
Olufemi joined Baylor University in January 2026 as Financial Manager for Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences, where she oversees the daily financial operations of the Departments of Health, Human Performance and Recreation (HHPR); Occupational Therapy; Physical Therapy; and Physician Assistant Studies. In addition to her responsibilities within Robbins College, she has had the privilege of serving as Interim Business Officer for Baylor Law School, providing financial and operational leadership.
“Having had the opportunity to serve both Robbins College and the School of Law, I’ve seen how effective financial stewardship helps advance Baylor’s mission across diverse academic environments. I’m excited to bring those experiences to ECS and to work alongside Dean Pack, faculty and staff in supporting the research, teaching and student success that make ECS special,” Olufemi said.
Outside of work, Olufemi is active in her faith community. She is a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Georgia and has been blessed to remain connected to her church family in Georgia, while also enjoying opportunities to worship and fellowship with several church communities in Texas since moving to Waco. Colossians 3:23 serves as a guiding principle in her work, reminding her to approach each responsibility with excellence, integrity and a spirit of service.
Baylor’s School of Engineering and Computer Science also extends its sincere appreciation to Blake Howe for stepping in to serve as Interim Business Officer and providing continued support to the school during this transition. We are grateful for his flexibility, leadership, and commitment to ECS.
