Prospective Graduate Students

Emerging as a premier School of Engineering and Computer Science, our mission is to educate and train future engineering and computer science leaders with a Christian worldview. Faith is integrated into academics, research, and student life to encourage students  in their personal character development and identity formation. 

Students in the School of Engineering and Computer Science experience an average class size of 23.  Small class sizes are a priority for the student learning experience from day one, and the introductory courses in both Engineering and Computer Science majors are typically capped between 25-30 students. Small classes are essential for student success, especially during the first year as students are learning foundational material that will continue to build as they move through the program. Smaller classes allow for deeper student-faculty relationships in which professors seek to serve as a mentor in faith, scholarship, and professional development.

Our programs integrate hands-on learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom. Students not only learn the technical skills required to be a successful engineer or computer scientists, but they also work in groups to develop conflict resolution, teamwork, and presentation skills. Each skill is essential to the success of our graduates as they enter the workforce or pursue professional degrees. Project-based learning begins in the introductory courses (engineering students build truss bridges, gear boxes, and launchers, while computer science students develop a simple video game) and carries through the four-year curriculum.
