Key Features
Interdisciplinary Teams
ECS engineering programs consist of 63% mechanical, 27% electrical and computer, and 9% general engineering students. We strive to maximize the number of interdisciplinary projects, but we also tackle discipline-specific projects.
High Instructor Interaction
Each team is purposefully constructed through a collaborative process. Teams also consult with subject matter experts among the faculty and staff as needed. The vast majority of our design course instructors are Clinical Professors and Adjunct Lecturers averaging over 20 years of experience in engineering practice.
Fabrication Support
Our industry-standard equipment allows students to gain experience they will take with them to their careers.

- 3D Print Lab: Multi-Jet Fusion (HP JetFusion 580), Stereolithography (Two Formlabs Form 3s), Fused-Filament (Stratasys F370, Ultimaker S5 and three
Ultimaker 3s, eight Prusa i3s) options - Materials: PLA, ABS, TPU, PETG, PA-12, multiple resin options
- Precision Manufacturing Lab: two laser cutters, 150 W, 10.6 micron CO2 lasers, 24" x 40" work area
- Student Fabrication Facilities: Eight access-controlled build spaces available for projects covered by non-disclosure agreements or IP protection agreements
