Faculty & Staff Awards
The ECS Faculty & Staff Awards program is an opportunity for the School of Engineering & Computer Science to celebrate distinction in teaching, research, service, and innovation.
The Dean’s Office has a robust awards program that includes the ECS Awards Dinner, where faculty, staff, and students will be recognized together on the School level.
The ECS Awards Dinner honors ECS, faculty, staff, and student awards recipients. The event is by invitation only (due to limited capacity) and will be held in Cashion 506 on April 16, 2026.
Faculty Awards
ECS has two awards programs for faculty: the Bargainer Faculty Excellence Awards and the ECS Faculty Awards.
ECS Faculty Awards recognize outstanding faculty—including non-tenure track, tenured and tenure-track faculty—based on excellence in teaching, research achievement, exceptional committee service, extraordinary student mentoring and significant civic and church involvement. The categories and nomination deadlines are the same as the University-level faculty awards. Nominees for these awards are determined through a process involving department faculty, chairs, the Office of the Dean, and Academic Council. The awards are:
- Teaching (tenured)
- Teaching (tenure-track)
- Teaching (non-tenure track)
- Scholarship (tenured)
- Scholarship (tenure-track)
- Significant Contributions to the Academic Community
