ECS Scholarships for Incoming Students
Incoming students have several different scholarship opportunities available to them. Awards below may stack on top of each other and on top of other financial aid received from the university. For merit-based aid, a student’s SAT/ACT scores, GPA, class rank, and/or other academic achievements will be considered. For need-based aid, a student’s need will be evaluated based on their submission of the FAFSA and CSS Profile, both of which must be completed by Feb. 1, 2026 to be considered for need-based aid from the School of Engineering and Computer Science.
ECS Achievement Scholarship
- Awarded based on merit
- Automatically renews for up to four years, as long as the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and full-time undergraduate enrollment
- Amounts range from $2,000-$8,000 per academic year, based on an evaluation of the student’s merit
ECS Dean’s Scholars Program
- Awarded based on merit and need
- Automatically renews for up to four years, as long as the student maintains a 3.25 semester and cumulative GPA, full-time undergraduate enrollment, good standing in the Dean's Scholar's Program, and pursuit of a major in the School of Engineering & Computer Science.
- Amounts range from $4,500-$12,500 per academic year, based on an evaluation of the student’s merit and need

ECS Department Excellence Funds and Endowed Scholarships
- Awarded based on merit and/or need
- Awarded as a one-year scholarship for the 2026-2027 academic year, which can apply toward a student’s housing and meal plan fees for their first year. Students have the opportunity to apply to be considered for additional aid in future years.
- Amounts range from $1,000-$5,000 for a single academic year
Incoming students may apply through a single scholarship application to be considered for all ECS funding opportunities above.
