Research in the School of Engineering & Computer Science (ECS) takes place in facilities across the Baylor University campus and beyond. Below are a few of the notable facilities at Baylor that support the top-tier research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and transformative education happening in ECS.
Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative
The Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC) is a 330,000 sq. ft. facility that includes more than one dozen labs and many of our ECS faculty and graduate student offices. Many of our undergraduate students also work in these research labs. Listed below are some of the facilities.
Rogers Engineering & Computer Science Building
The Rogers Engineering & Computer Science Building is home to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Dean's office, the ECS Career Center, ECS Support office, ECS Study Commons, and more.
Hankamer Cashion Academic Center
The Hankamer Cashion Academic Center is home to the Department of Computer Science and ECS Undergraduate Programs.
The ECS Research Annex
The ECS Research Annex provides space for engineering students working on Junior and Senior Design projects to build and collaborate.
Teal Residential College
Baylor's Teal Residential College is a dormitory on campus located in East Village that houses some of Baylor's engineering, computer science, data science, and informatics and nursing majors. Teal offers many resources for ECS students. Some faculty offices are located in this building.
