Industry Experience
Mr. Donndelinger joined Baylor University’s School of Engineering and Computer Science after 23 years of professional practice in the automotive and cutting tool industries. His work focuses primarily on conducting interdisciplinary design feasibility assessments across the engineering, marketing and manufacturing domains. During his 16 years as a Senior Researcher at General Motors’ Global Research and Development Center, Mr. Donndelinger served as Principal Investigator on 17 projects in the Customer-Driven Advanced Vehicle Development and Advanced Quality Analytics Innovation Programs. Prior to this, he worked for seven years in New Product Development positions at Ford Motor Company and Onsrud Cutter. Mr. Donndelinger has published three book chapters and 25 articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has been issued two United States patents with three additional patents pending. Mr. Donndelinger earned M.S. in Industrial Engineering and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
