Student Org Resources
Student Organization Council
Council of Leadership from all ECS Student Organizations to coordinate events, have a key role in various department decisions, participate in the Dean's Advisory Board, vote on resource allocation, receive training on fundraising, and organize events during ECS Week.
If you have questions about these resources or planning an event please talk to your organization's leadership as they should be a member of the Student Organization Council.

Student Org Event Planning
- Event Registration form (Connect) - at least 3 weeks before event
- Room reservation (Connect)
- Student Activities approval for any publicity to include flyers (Connect) - Online student organization print publicity form Student Activities Publicity information
- Institutional Events can assist with planning- event request proposal form, must have Student Activities approval prior to reaching out to Institutional Events
- Printed publicity can be printed at no cost ( Student Activities approval required) at the Student Involvement Center in the SUB
Meetings and Room Reservations
All room reservations must be entered into Connect
Student Org Travel
Overnight Travel:
- Risk Management approval- at least one month prior to event
- Event Registration form (Connect)- at least one month prior to event
- Funding for entire cost of travel
- Faculty advisor
- Student Organization proposed itinerary and list of participants
- Expectations for Overnight or Out-of-Town Events | Student Activities Policy | Baylor University
Sales and Solicitation
Event Registration form (connect)- must detail solicitation and have approval before activity can be held
All promotional items/swag must be approved by Student Activities before purchase
General Student Organization information
Must provide a current roster of members and officers to Student Activities no later than 9/15 for fall semester and 2/1 for spring semester. (Connect)
- Must have at least one full time faculty or staff member who advises organization and attends off- campus meetings
- One officer must attend mandatory student org meetings/training instructed by Student Activities
- One officer and advisor must attend risk management training
- Get comfortable with using Connect, it is Baylor’s one stop shop for everything Student Org related
