School of Engineering and Computer Science Announces New Assistant Dean of Operations

Lauren Muhl has joined the Office of the Dean at Baylor University’s School of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS), as Assistant Dean of Operations, a new position to help manage the School’s growth.

“We are thrilled to have Lauren Muhl join the School of Engineering and Computer Science,” said Dean Daniel Pack. “The experience she has gained from her previous roles at Baylor have resulted in Lauren being well prepared to take on this important new role in our School, which is growing in numerous ways under our vision to advance ECS in research and education with a commitment to Christian values. We know Lauren quickly will become a vital part of the ECS family.”

Muhl has ten years of experience at Baylor and more than 15 years of experience in higher education in advising, outreach and recruitment, and project management. She started at Baylor in the Hankamer School of Business and has spent the last six years in the College of Arts and Sciences Office of the Dean as the director of Degree Certification and Curriculum Management. 

“I am honored to join the School of Engineering and Computer Science and look forward to improving processes, streamlining the operations of the school, and working alongside Dean Pack to execute the vision and mission of advancing ECS,” said Muhl.

Muhl, who is originally from Waco, earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Baylor and her master’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She and her husband have eight-year-old twins and a golden retriever.
