Joey Carona

Joey Carona is a seasoned veteran in the community association management industry and currently serves as the Executive Chairman of Goodwin & Company, based in Austin, Texas. In that role, he offers strategic oversight and guidance to a team of industry leading professionals who run the day-to-day operations of the business. His newest role is President of the Waco-based Paramount Realty & Management
Prior to Goodwin, Joey was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Associa, the global leader in community management. While there he helped oversee the firm’s core management business, sales and marketing efforts, mergers and acquisitions driven expansion, various ancillary business lines, its information technology teams, maintenance divisions, and its 501(c)(3) charitable efforts.
As a recognized leader in the industry, Joey was elected to serve on the national board of its trade organization, the Community Association Institute (CAI). Through the education arm of CAI, Joey holds the industry’s highest-level designation – that of a Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM). He has also served on various industry specific and local community focused bank boards.
Joey studied at Baylor University, where he earned a degree in International Studies, before continuing on to receive his MBA from Southern Methodist University. He currently resides in Waco, Texas with his wife and four children. As a family they are actively involved in the local community and proud supporters of Baylor Athletics. Joey currently sits on the Board of Trustees for his children’s school, Live Oak Classical, and the Board of Advocates for the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Baylor.
