Meet Courtney, a Data Science and Secondary Spanish major (with a history minor) from Newport News, Virginia

Data sciences may well be more collaborative than any other discipline. A diverse field by its nature—involving machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical sciences, digital communication and more—data sciences is a natural fit to advance research not only within its own core divisions, but all disciplines. Baylor University hosted more than 125 attendees at the Southwest Data Science Conference (SDSC) on March 24, 2023. The purpose of the conference – in its second year at Hankamer Academic Center, home of Baylor’s Department of Computer Science – is to promote transdisciplinary interactions among data scientists from diverse fields.
