Innovate
The School of Engineering & Computer Science invites rising 11th and 12th grade students to attend Innovate, a week-long residential camp at Baylor University! Campers will experience life as a Baylor student for a week, as they learn from ECS faculty, complete STEM projects, and build connections with current and prospective students. Innovate is designed to expose high school students to the academic excellence within Baylor's Engineering and Computer Science programs.

Phone and Technology Policy
As a part of the Innovate experience, each camper’s cell phone will be collected upon check-in. This expectation is important to students’ overall experience in the program. We want each student to be fully present and engaged both in and outside the classroom during Innovate!
Cell phones will be kept in camp staff rooms in the residence hall so that Innovate students can call home during downtimes in the evenings if desired. If a parent/family member needs to contact a student during the program, the Innovate Camp Director is available to make that connection.
Campers are also asked to not bring personal laptops, tablets, or gaming consoles. Campers will not have Wi-Fi access outside of class and are expected to engage in the planned camp activities.
Camp Check-in / Check-out and Travel Information
Innovate sessions begin on Sunday afternoons July 12 (Session 1) or July 19 (Session 2). Campers can check in between 3:30-5:00 pm. At this time, campers will be provided with camp materials and their room assignments for the week. Campers will also be asked to turn in their cell phones at check-in.
Innovate sessions will end on Friday July 17 (Session 1) or July 24 (Session 2). Campers will check out of the residence hall from 1:30-2:30 pm, and we will close camp with a celebratory reception on Friday afternoon from 3-4:30 pm. The reception is optional, and family members are invited to attend with their camper. Campers will be required to remove all personal belongings from the Residence Hall before check-out ends at 2:30, and they will not have access to return to the Residence hall after the reception.
For campers who are in need of an early check-in or late check-out, please complete this form.
